 Russian war criminal Yevgeny Starkov fights in Donbas for contract with Russian MoD, - InformNapalm. PHOTOS

Candidate to enlist as a contract soldier of the 74th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Central Military District, Russia) Yevgeny Starkov fights as a mercenary in the ranks of pro-Russian militants in the Donbas.

This is reported by InformNapalm OSINT volunteer group, which together with colleagues from Myrotvorets center continue to expose Russian servicemen who double-job as contract soldiers and Novorossiya militants, Censor.NET reports.

Their attention was drawn by "DPR" reconnaissance unit militant, Russian citizen with callsign Altai.

It is difficult to say anything about Starkov's current state of affairs, or his current status. But right before leaving for the Donbas, he posed in a mask, Gorka uniform suit, and an assault vest most likely provided by his employer from the Russian MoD.

As of Oct. 20, 2015, Starkov had been in the ranks of militants for 3 months. Either way, being a citizen of the Russian Federation, Starkov fights against Ukraine, and there could be just two possible options as for his status:

1. The contract was urgently signed and Starkov was sent to "upgrade his professional skills" in the Donbas;
2. Starkov was required to demonstrate his skills in the Donbas, after which his enrollment as a contract soldier would become a reality.

"These assumptions are based on several facts. In particular, besides the tendency of Russian servicemen to gain their battle experience in Novorossiya's illegal armed groups (read article), there is another one. In terms of contract service, Russian authorities give preference to candidates who have toughened up during their individual trips to the Donbas. For example, in late January 2016, we disclosed a militant from Sparta gang, who was issued a travel order in the Lipetsk military office to go to his contract duty location (read article)," InformNapalm reports.
