"Our main goal is to let Ukrainians know their heroes, honor those important dates dictated by the modern history. The presentation of the Historical Memory Platform took place during the event as well. A display seized by the Ukrainian defenders from the Donetsk airport in fierce battles was presented there.

"We saved this display from the invaders," one of the Donetsk airport defenders Mykola Voronin said. "I and my brothers in arms took it from the third floor of the new terminal of the airport when we went on the scout. There was a "den" of the separatists' there at that time. The guys beguiled me out of touching the dangerous find for fear of it being rigged with explosives. But somehow I realized back then that this thing would eventually be helpful.

"We managed to win the third floor from the Russian mercenaries only during our shift. By the way, it was the place we later used to harass the enemy with dense fire. And today I want this display from the Donetsk airport to become a reminder not only for us Ukrainians but also our foreign friends visiting our country that the war is near, there's no time to relax," the soldier said.
