Significant changes have taken place in Ukraine since the last visit of Ms. Pritzker 13 months ago, the head of state noted at the meeting.
The president informed on the course of local elections in Ukraine, which elections will complete the reload of the authorities. He also reported on the main reforms aimed to improve business climate, particularly on anti-corruption efforts, the judicial reform, and plans to carry out transparent privatization.
"It is the right time and place to invest in Ukraine," Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
In her turn, Penny Pritzker noted that the U.S. government supported the efforts of Ukraine aimed at reforming the country and making it a full-fledged member of the world economy. "We are with you in these efforts," the Secretary of Commerce assured.
The American delegation includes representatives of the U.S. Department of Commerce, business leaders, and representatives of the U.S. Embassy to Ukraine.
