Newly appointed Kharkiv police officers to start patrolling tomorrow. PHOTOS + VIDEO

Tomorrow, Sept. 26., 800 patrol police officers will take oath and start patrolling in Kharkiv.

As Censor.NET has been informed by the Interior Ministry press service, the ceremony was held in the Kharkiv National University of Interior.

The ceremony has been attended by the University's President Gen. - Col. Serhii Husarov, Chief Police Officer of Kharkiv Yevhen Melnyk, the university leadership and professors, and graduates of the initial vocational training classes.

The inspectors of the patrol police were greeted by the University's President Serhii Husarov. Everyone sang the national anthem of Ukraine.

Kharkiv Chief Police Officer Yevhen Melnyk addressed his subdues. He reminded that police officers' main tasks were to serve and protect the people of Ukraine, abide by the laws, and perform their professional duties.
