"When Ukraine is actually at war with Russia, such mass actions near the Verkhovna Rada pose risks, including provocations, in which people could be killed or seriously injured. I appeal to the leaders of political forces, who believe the changes to the Constitution are not necessary, to conduct all further rallies away from the Parliament and ensure proper security measures," Herashchenko commented.
Asked whether the action was planned, Herashchenko said: "I think such things are planned in advance."
Meanwhile, smoke and stun grenades are going off near the Verkhovna Rada.
10 law enforcers are reported to have been rushed away in ambulances.
Inside the Parliament it smells of an unknown gas, many of the present coughing.
