 26-year-old Yurii Zozulia appointed Chief Patrol Police Officer of Lviv. PHOTOS

Deputy Commander of the 3rd Battalion of Kyiv Patrol Police Main Department, Junior Sergeant Yurii Zozulia has been appointed Chief Patrol Police Officer of Lviv.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov on his Facebook page.

Zozulia is 26 years old. He is junior sergeant. Zozulia is currently occupying position of Deputy Commander of the 3rd Battalion of Kyiv Patrol Police Main Department.

The police officer has actively participated in the Revolution of Dignity events on Maidan in Kyiv in late 2013 - early 2014. Zozulia is a student at National Academy of Internal Affairs, confirming his Polish degree by passing exams. Before joining patrol police, Yurii Zozulia worked in finance sector for some time.

During his tenure in Kyiv police, Yurii has participated in several cases of filing administrative protocols for several VIPs. They include MP Serhii Melnychuk, who drove a car without permission to do so, and UEFA vice president Hryhorii Surkis for a wrong use of special light and sound signs.

"This is so right to use possibilities that life is giving you, and to change things in the country. I shall not fail!" Zozulia said to Avakov, as reported by the minister.

As previously reported, Lviv patrol police will embark on their duties on the Day of the National Flag - Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. 600 police officers will come to the streets.
