 "DPR" militant detained while trying to sell weapons and ammunition in Mariupol, - Interior Ministry. PHOTOS

Police seized a fuse with an RGD-5 grenade and a TNT-like explosive device weighing up to 100 grams from a "DPR" militant.

This is reported by Censor.NET citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs Main Directorate in the Donetsk region press service.

"Military" career of a 31-year-old resident of Donetsk began in August last year after joining Oplot terrorist gang. Then he was sent to Rostov-on-Don, where he trained as gun layer. After returning, the man continued his criminal activity within another terrorist gang "Somalia." In May 2015, the terrorist left for Odesa. He came to Mariupol to sell explosives and settle in the neighboring region.

When interrogated, the detainee said he had moved military equipment from Russia to Donetsk. Terrorists used it in their devastating attacks, including at civilians. The militant named nicknames of his accomplices, their real names, described structure of the "DPR" gangs in terms of their size and performance. He also provided important information that will help to detain militants.

According to law enforcers, the militant was tracked as a result of an operation carried out by the Zhovtnevyi Police Department criminal investigation officers.

The seized explosives have been sent for examination. Qualification of the criminal activity is being established at the moment.
