The Security Service of Ukraine together with military prosecution detained colonel of justice, deputy head of the investigative department of the SBU in the Donetsk region when he was transferring classified information to a "DPR" terrorists' agent.

Censor.NET reports citing the Security Service of Ukraine press office.

"The traitor had been gathering information on SBU activities during the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), on criminal proceedings conducted by the investigative department of the Donetsk regional SBU office, data on pro-Ukrainian persons among the Donetsk region residents, etc." the message reads.

The colonel has been detained by SBU officers during his meeting with a fake representative of the "security ministry of the 'DPR'," which is curated by a Russian FSB officer with callsign 'Ispanets', according to recent reports.

Upon his detainment, the SBU officer attempted an escape to the territory temporarily controlled by pro-Russian terrorists.

"As a result of actions taken, the SBU officer and the "DPR" agent have been detained. Immediate investigation in underway. $40,000 in cash have been seized from them," the press office of the Security Service of Ukraine added.
