 Militants bombed out house of 99-years-old World War II participant Kateryna Maltseva in Krasnohorivka. PHOTOS

Participant of the World War II Kateryna Maltseva, born in 1916, was left without roof over her head due to attacks committed by the pro-Russian militants.

Kateryna Maltseva lives in Krasnohorivka village in Marinka district of the Donetsk region on 50 Maiakovskyi Street, Censor.NET correspondent, who has visited the town today, reports.

According to the woman, the terrorists' shell hit the house, a third of which belongs to her. The accommodation caught fire right before her eyes and she could not extinguish it herself. The house is still smoldering. Nobody was putting the fire out. There is no water supply in the town. Kateryna Maltseva, the participant of WWII, is now forced to pass the night in an extension. She has no relatives except a granddaughter, who lives abroad.

According to local residents, the last time a shelling was so heavy was in last year July - the town was shelled from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. There had been no power in the town for four months during the war and it was cut off again yesterday. There is still no power supply.

According to preliminary information, three people were killed due to the shelling of Krasnohorivka. Several houses and a school were damaged.

There is no possibility to assess all the damage inflicted to the town by the militants, as a mopping-up operation to eliminate subversive and reconnaissance groups of the enemy is underway in Krasnohorivka.
