Censor.NET reports citing the NSDC press office.
Turchynov told journalists after completion of the tests that the strikes at the protective construction were carried out from all types of small arms, grenade launchers, mortars and heavy artillery.
"The construction was pierced only when it was hit from the range of a hundred meters from self-propelled guns and then tanks," he noted.
The National Security and Defense Council secretary was generally satisfied with the test results. Oleksandr Turchynov said that the technology of the tests provides that the construction must be fired at until complete destruction, "but the protective structure has held its shape and according to the conclusions of the experts may continue to be used for delivering fire."
"The reinforced concrete construction may continue to be used as a cover even after the tank gun and self-propelled gun fire over the sight inflicted substantial damage to it," the NSDC secretary said.
In addition, Oleksandr Turchynov expressed his gratitude to producers for the high quality of the reinforced concrete structures, which may save lives of the Ukrainian soldiers: "The quality of these facilities is very important for us as the lives of our soldiers depend on it."
Turchynov said that insufficient progress of construction of the defensive lines remains today's only problem.
"This issue will be considered at the next meeting of the National Security and Defense Council," he concluded.
