Several thousand people came today to honor the memory of those killed in Kulykove field in Odesa.

People were bringing flowers, candles, and even paintings reflecting the tragedy to the Trade Unions building where it occurred a year ago, Censor.NET reports citing Dumskaya.

The rally near the Trade Unions building began at 2 p.m. It was attended by at least 1,000 people. According to local press reports, there were no incidents, except for one, where exalted citizens tried to beat up 1+1 Channel TV crew.

According to police estimates, at the peak of the memorial meeting there were 2,000-3,000 Odesa residents at Kulykove field.

After the rally, people continued to bring flowers to the House of Trade Unions. As of 4:15 p.m., there were about 500 people on the square. Some of Odesa inhabitants came with St.George's ribbons (pro-Russian symbol) on their clothes, but the police did not react to it, Trassa E-95 reports.

At the same time, a memorial service was held at the Soborna Square, which gathered about 300 people. They commemorated the Euromaidan supporters who died on May 2, 2014, and held a prayer service.
