 Car hit a bus with 25 passengers near Lviv. 10 people injured. PHOTOS

Eight people were hospitalized as a result of the accident involving a shuttle bus and a car, which occurred on the evening of April 7 near Malekhiv village in the Lviv region.

This is reported by Censor.NET citing the press service of the State Emergency Service.

"The driver of a Toyota Camry drove into oncoming traffic and made a head-on collision with an Etalon shuttle bus on Lviv-Rawa-Ruska road near the village of Malekhiv of the Zhovkva district at 8:40 p.m. The bus was carrying 25 passengers. As a result of the accident, eight people were injured and hospitalized in the Lviv hospital emergency room," the statement notes.

A Task Force of the Emergency Service in the Lviv region is working at the scene.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the preliminary data shows that the driver of the Toyota, 29-year-old Lviv resident did not choose safe speed and drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided head-on with a passenger bus.

The driver of the car was hospitalized to the intensive care unit. The driver of the bus, a 30-year-old Chervonohrad resident has a broken leg. He was also hospitalized.

Four bus passengers remain in hospital with another four released home after treatment.
