Ukrainian aviatrix Nadiya Savchenko will quit her hunger strike with balanced diet recommended by doctors.

Savchenko was supposed to drink chicken broth in order to be prevented from death. She wrote an application to refuse from broth and replace it with juices. This was announced by the lawyer Mark Feigin in his Twitter, Censor.NET reports.

"One should start with juices and fruit and vegetable purees when quitting a long hunger strike. I asked doctors ... to develop a balanced diet which I could use without hazarding my life," she wrote in the application.

Another lawyer, Nikolai Polozov, added: "We visited Nadiya. She would not drink fatty broth. She will quit her hunger strike with a balanced diet."

As reported, it became known yesterday that Savchenko would stop her hunger strike partially and will drink chicken broth. Nadiya went on the strike on Dec. 13, 2014 to protest her illegal detention in Russia.

Earlier, Savchenko refused to quit her hunger strike when asked to do so by Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Dzhemilev. "I will continue as long as I must," she said.
