Ilya Novikov, who visited Savchenko in Matrosskaya Tishyna remand prison's hospital Feb. 2, said that she still refused to eat, but drank about two liters of water daily, allowing doctors to make injections of "whatever they say necessary," Censor.NET reports citing Radio Liberty.
"Frankly speaking, she is dying. She is dying very slowly," the lawyer said.
Savchenko was transferred to the hospital on Jan. 29 due to "drastic weight loss," according to doctors. The Russian Federation accused Nadia Savchenko of involvement in the death of Russian journalists. She herself denies the charges, her defense insists that Savchenko was abducted and forcibly taken from the territory of Ukraine. Savchenko was later accused of illegal crossing of the border with Russia as well.
