Measures to take people away from the danger zone are being taken in cities of the Donetsk region subjected to constant terrorists’ shelling in recent days.

156 people (including 17 children) were evacuated from the cities of Debaltseve, Avdiivka and Svitlodarsk yesterday, Feb. 2: "60 people (including 8 children) were taken from the city of Avdiivka, 66 people (including 3 children) from Debaltseve, and 30 people (including 6 children) from Svitlodarsk."

"2,341 people in total, including 630 children and 60 disabled persons, were evacuated from the cities of Avdiivka, Debaltseve, and Svitlodarsk from Jan. 28 to Feb. 2," the statement reads.


It is also noted that 118 people, including 27 children, were sent to Kyiv yesterday. 191 people totally, including 45 children have arrived to the capital during the two days.

"211 people totally were evacuated by railway and another 48 were taken out by vehicles (within the region) in the last two days," the agency noted.

"The State Emergency Service detachments have deployed reception points at railway stations in the cities of Sloviansk and Kostiantynivka to meet people evacuated from the danger zone and provide information, medical and other assistance, as well as psychological support. The displaced people are provided with free tickets for travel within Ukraine," the statement reads.

101 people have received assistance and warmed themselves in reception points over the past 24 hours: 64 people (including 9 children) in Sloviansk and 37 people (including 9 children) in Kostiantynivka.

The humanitarian aid continues to be delivered to the residents of the cities of the Donetsk region.

"Four tons of humanitarian aid consisting of drinking water (200 liters), blankets (60 pcs.), hygiene kits (58 pcs.), and food were delivered to the city of Rodynske yesterday," the State Emergency Service added.
