Ukraine's Security Service workers detained criminals in Mariupol who prepared terrorist acts, collected coordinates of Ukrainian soldiers in order to shell them with artillery, and sent the information to the DPR terrorists. This is stated in the press center of the SBU announcement, Censor.NET reports.
"On Oct. 30, the SBU detained a leader of a criminal group, a DRP terrorist. He is a Ukrainian citizen, born in 1989, who since May has been collecting information about location of Ukrainian army checkpoints near Mariupol, as well as about location, number, and weapons of the ATO detachments, and sending it to Russian Security services and DPR terrorists," the statement reads.
According to the SBU, the attacker created a network of informants from the local community, from who he received intelligence information for adjusting systems of salvo fire fighters of Russian soldiers and DPR terrorists at Ukrainian army positions. It was found out that such information about an ATO checkpoint caused deaths of three Ukrainian soldiers on Oct. 28.
During search of the detainee apartment, evidence of his illegal activities was discovered: electronic maps with coordinates of Ukrainian army positions, the results of their attacks, Kalashnikov bullets and grenades.
The Security Service detained two more members of the group on Nov. 1. One of them, together with the leader, planned an attack on a checkpoint of the ATO forces, the other transferred data on location of checkpoints, military equipment, and adjusted terrorists' fire at positions of the Ukrainian army.
