Bridge connecting occupied Khrustalnyi and Luhansk demolished in supposed powerful explosion. PHOTOS

A bridge in Ivanivka – the village located in the part of the Luhansk region which is temporarily not controlled by the Ukrainian government - was blown up on the night of May 21. The destroyed bridge was a part of the shortest route between the cities of Khrustalnyi (formerly Krasnyi Luch) and Luhansk.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Hromadske Radio news outlet, the images of the demolished bridge were published by the local media.

The source of Hromadske Radio in the territory controlled by the combined Russian-separatist forces confirmed this information noting, however, that complete isolation of the city is now out of question as there is still a dirt road connecting the cities.

"A batch of bread was delivered from Luhansk today. But the driver said that this dirt road is in extremely poor condition," the locals said.

It is so far unknown who was behind the bridge destruction. The so-called authorities of the self-styled "Luhansk People’s Republic" have still issued no formal statement regarding the incident.
