50 members of the National Corps NGO tried to get into the session hall in the morning arguing that this was not a sensitive facility.

"We demand Governor Savchenko to be removed pending investigation. And if he is found not guilty, he will be free to reoccupy the post," said Denys Yantar, the head of Azov’s National Corps branch in the Mykolaiv region.

The riot police initially denied access for the activists to the building but 40 members of the Azov National Corps entered the regional council at about 10 a.m.
