While investigating the cause of damage inflicted to the main oil pipeline in the Novohrad-Volynskyi district of the Zhytomyr region, the law enforcement officers found alleged evidence of corrupt practice involving misappropriation of military hardware. Police seized almost 200 vehicles ready for sale.

"The seized equipment includes armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, armored reconnaissance vehicles, trucks, box trucks, trailers, tank trucks, tower vehicles, tractors with winches and other equipment, including for transportation of people by land and water. Police also seized lots of spare parts, batteries, tires, etc.," the press office for the local National Police Directorate saidCensor.NET reports.

The searches were conducted for two weeks and resulted in seizure of almost 200 pieces of ready-for-sale vehicles. The law enforcement officers are checking whether the hardware was in service of a Ukrainian Armed Forces’ military unit.

Police say the hardware was put up for sale online. According to the spokesperson for the police, authorized searches were carried out at several facilities where the vehicles were stored: in addition to the equipment, certificates of its origin were also found and seized.
