"We have been storing these combat guns for about three years. They have already been transferred to the fourth category to be disposed later. But gifted hands of craftsmen revived them and Gvozdikas will again be in service," the commander of the military unit said.
The repair of the self-propelled guns lasted for two weeks. We managed to carry out the work in such a short period of time because the state improved central supply of spare parts. Members of the local entrepreneurs union also took active part in the repair of the military equipment. They bought necessary items, spare parts and equipment.
2S1 Gvozdikas are replenishing the separate mechanized brigade detachment, which restores the combat capability after taking part in anti-terrorist operation and soon prepares to depart in the task areas in the eastern Ukraine again.
