"Russian military formations contributing battalions, companies, tactical groups and units have been identified on Ukrainian terrain (a research on this matter is undergoing; the list of military units is being updated periodically).
"It is time to move from question "Who is fighting?" to the question "By what means are they fighting?" There are plenty of evidence.
"Thus, artillery units have been concentrated within the proximity of Ukrainian border, in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, and they have been periodically firing at Ukrainian territory, I wrote about it in June. ( https://www.facebook.com/irakli.komaxidze/posts/626503984129518 ) Since then, I have discovered new details which are to be shared."
"The following military units and formations of the Southern Military Region of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have been concentrated alongside Ukrainian border:
"1. 291st artillery brigade has been redeployed from Ingushetia, Stanitsa Troitskaya. It is armed with 152-mm towed guns "MSTA-B", 220-mm multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) "Uragan", and 122-mm MLRS "Grad".
"One of the units of this brigade was redeployed to the Crimea in spring for buildup of a new 8th artillery regiment at Simferopol. This unit has been subordinated to the Land Forces of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. ( https://www.facebook.com/irakli.komaxidze/posts/660477387398844 );
"2. 19th motorized brigade has been redeployed from South Ossetia, Vladikavkaz city, Sputnik village. It is armed with 152-mm self-rolled artillery systems "Msta-С", 122-mm MLRS "Tornado-G" (upgraded "Grad").
"3. 18th motorized brigade has been redeployed from Chechnya, Stanitsa Kalinovskaya. It is armed with 152-mm self-rolled artillery systems (SAU) "Akatsiya", 122-mm MLRS "Tornado-G".
"4. 136th motorized brigade has been redeployed from Dagestan, Buynaksk village. It is armed with 152-mm self-rolled artillery systems "Akatsiya".
"5. 943rd artillery regiment has been redeployed from Adygea, Krasnooktyabyrsk village. It is armed with 220-mm MLRS "Uragan".
"6. 17th motorized brigade has been redeployed from Chechnya, Shali village (also 8th mountain motorized brigade deployed from Chechnya, Borzoy village). It is armed with 122-mm self-rolled artillery systems "Gvozdika."
"7. 1st missile brigade has been redeployed from Krasnodar. It is armed with 300-mm MLRS "Smerch" and operational-tactical complexes "Tochka-U" and "Iskander".
"Moreover, it is very likely that units (divisions/batteries) of the following military formations have been redeployed: 439th artillery brigade, the Astrakhan region, Znamensk city, armed with 300-mm MLRS "Smerch"; 630th missile division, the Astrakhan region, Znamensk city (from other sources - South Ossetia, Vladikavkaz), armed with operational-tactical complexes "Iskander". Other artillery divisions of the Southern Military Region of Russia have been also redeployed.
"Apart from the above-mentioned artillery units of the Southern Military Region of Russia, artillery units and formations of the Western Military Region of Russia have been identified:
- 275th self-rolled artillery regiment of the 4th armor division from Naro-Fominsk;
- 288th artillery brigade from Nizhniy Novgorod, Mylino village, armed with 220-mm MLRS "Uragan".
