The bill on special aspects of state policy to ensure Ukraine's state sovereignty in temporarily occupied areas in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions adopted by the Ukrainian parliament does not contradict the Minsk accords.

Censor.NET reports citing President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

"Neither the spirit nor the letter of the law on the Donbas reintegration, any of its articles are in conflict with the Minsk agreements," the president twitted.

"Unlike Russia, which is constantly looking for any excuse not to observe them, Ukraine remains firmly committed to its obligations and will always adhere to them," the president said.

As reported, the bill on special aspects of state policy to ensure Ukraine's state sovereignty in temporarily occupied areas in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on Jan. 18. 2018.
