Ukrainian troops destroyed a Russian BTR-82 APC near the village of Novosvitlivka, the Luhansk region.

This was stated by Kostiantyn Mashovets, expert of Center for Military and Political Studies, in his Facebook account, Censor.NET reports.

"Prototypes of BTR-82 and BTR-82A were first assembled at Arzamassk motor assembly plant (AMZ) in December, 2009. Production testing completed in winter of 2010, after which the vehicles entered service for the Russian army. In 2011, some units of Russian Federation armed forces Southern military district were re-equipped with BTR-82A. The destroyed APC on the photo most likely comes from there…" Mashovets comments.
