As reported by Censor.NET with reference to Dozhd TV channel, Elena Mukhina, fiancée of the paratrooper from Kostroma, told that he had vanished without a trace in the Rostov region of Russia. Mukhina contacted him for the last time on Aug. 22.
According to Mukhina, Seleznyov was in Vladimir, where he proposed to his girlfriend, who was two-months pregnant by that time. The wedding was scheduled for September.
After that Seleznyov left for military unit 71211 in Kostroma (the 98th Guards Airborne Division). The last time Seleznyov called his fiancée was on Aug. 22.
Mukhina said that the soldier's friends contacted him and he told that he and his fellow soldiers had been disguised in field uniform, all identification marks on vehicles had been dyed green, and they had been sent to the Rostov region.
On Aug. 28, officials of the military enlistment point informed Mukhina that her fiancé had died. No documents were presented to her. Seleznyov's body was not delivered to his home city either. Mukhina called his military unit as well as Rostov hospitals and morgues; still she got no further information about Seleznyov.
