It was announced by Ukraine's Interior Minister adviser Anton Herashchenko as instructed by the Minister Avakov, Censor.NET reports.
"About a month ago in Russian media that support the terrorist organizations "DPR" and "LPR", there appeared accusations of the Ukrainian military in alleged use of phosphorous ammunitions against civilians. As usual, alleged eyewitness was cited for evidence, which could not be verified for the lack of witnesses themselves.
Reference - Ammunition containing white phosphorus distributes ignite substance, combustion temperature of which exceeds 800°C over large areas of up to several hundred square meters. Burning continues as long as the phosphorus burns out or no further access of oxygen is available. This weapon can cause serious and painful injuries or provoke slow and painful death. The use of phosphorous ammunitions is forbidden by the 3rd Protocol to the Convention on the Prohibition of certain types of conventional weapons which the Soviet Union and, therefore, the Russian Federation as the legal successor of the Soviet Union joined in 1983. However, millions of units of not recycled white phosphorus artillery for multiple rocket launchers are still kept in the warehouses in Russia," Herashchenko said.
Now the Ministry of Interior received incontrovertible evidence of the fact that terrorist organizations "LPR" and "DPR" are negotiating about getting the portion of white phosphorus for use in multiple rocket launchers "Grad" from Russia .
"It is possible that the terrorists intend to use white phosphorus for shelling civilians in order to blame the Ukrainian army in painful deaths. This evidence will soon be handed over to the UN Security Council and the OSCE to record another fact of direct support of the terrorists by the Russian Federation. White phosphorus for multiple rocket launchers cannot be bought in any store!" Avakov 's adviser said.
The Interior Ministry warns that the use of phosphorous ammunitions prohibited by the international conventions is not allowed, and persons involved in import of phosphorous ammunitions into the territory of Ukraine and use them against civilians and Ukrainian troops will be sentenced by the court to life terms in prison.
Herashchenko also published photos of the weapons' impact.

"The image shows terrible wounds inflicted by the banned phosphorus ammunitions. Putin was going to pass such weapons to the terrorists of the "LPR" and the "DPR" to continue their crimes against civilians and the Ukrainian military," the adviser of the head of the Interior Ministry said.
