The search and rescue team found bodies of the dead soldiers and crew at the crash site. According to the report of the press service of the Defense Ministry, now the measures are currently being taken to transport the deceased servicemen for burial, Censor.NET informs, citing LigaBiznesInform.
"On June 24, the aircraft was reported to raise at 17.07. According to preliminary data, at 17.10 the ATO authorities were already informed of the helicopter crash. According to eyewitnesses, a group of armed terrorists was waiting the helicopter takeoff. The militants were driving two cars and a van. The bandits fled in the direction of the village Bylbasivka near Sloviansk after the Mi-8 helicopter was shot down," the Ministry said.
As it was reported earlier, nine people on board of the Mi-8 died in the crash.
