According to the agency's information, the detainees were instructed by the authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) early June 2014 to make an explosion on the territory of the State Border Guard Service to destabilize the situation among military and intimidation of civilians. The kidnapping of Border Guard Colonel was their another task.
Law enforcers detained plotters in a car near the Border Guard Service Department of Amvrosievka during visual surveillance of the Border Guard Service building. Three Kalashnikov assault rifles, Makarov pistol, a great number of ammunition, and two improvised explosive devices were seized from suspects during the arrest.
Security Service investigators in the Dnipropetrovsk region initiated a criminal case for an offense under Part 3 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 258 (terrorism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Detainees were notified to be suspected of committing criminal offense. Investigation continues.
