Journalist’s House Bombed with Grenade. This is Third Warning from Authorities. PHOTOS

Someone threw a grenade in the courtyard of the house where Nikopol City reporter Ruslan Soloviev lives.

The explosion occurred on Friday, December 7, at 11:32 p.m. on Internatsyonalistiv street, Ukrainian Pravda reports.

Shards of broken glass, damaged walls, broken border tiling (under the window where the grenade fell).

During the explosion, Ruslan and his wife and two children were at home. His wife, by a happy coincidence, has just fed the dog in the yard and went into the house.

The police promptly arrived at the scene.

On Saturday, when a re-inspection of the scene was conducted, a pin from an RGD grenade was found. An investigation team is working on site.

"According to one version (there are no others as of now), the explosion is another warning from local authorities who cannot stand fair criticism and investigative materials addressed against them," says the publication, noting that this year it is the third warning.

The task of the editorial board, on which Soloviev is currently working is to acquire data of corruption raids conducted in the city. Also the paper plans to create a social organization to combat corruption in the city and Soloviev will be one of the key activists in it. The organization will be created in the first months of 2013.
