The competition commission made the decision at today's meeting, Censor.NET reports.
Truba's candidacy was unanimously supported by the commission members.
As reported, it was planned to launch operation of the State Bureau of Investigation on Nov. 20, 2017. The new agency was to take over the investigative functions of the prosecutor's office. However, a competition commission member Denys Monastyrskyi earlier told Censor.NET that it would take at least a year to make SBI operational.
In turn, Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko slammed the pace of SBI creation and requested the parliament to extend the powers of the prosecutor's office.
