As reported by Censor.NET citing the president's press office, the parties thoroughly discussed a complex of issues of Ukraine-USA bilateral relations and coordinated priorities within their enhancement in the best interests of the two countries and joint protection and promotion of freedom and democracy, the rule of law and human rights.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of new approaches and bold initiatives for the replenishment of strategic partnership between Ukraine and the U.S. - from the enhanced political, trade-economic and energy interaction to the intensification of defense and security partnership between the countries.
The interlocutors discussed the course of reforms in Ukraine. The president noted significant success Ukraine had achieved. "I am confident that no country in the whole has introduced such a great number of reforms in various sectors being at war. And we enjoy a solid support of the United States for our reforms," Poroshenko stressed adding that it was a confirmation of our strategic partnership.
The president thanked the American side for its assistance and significant contribution to the development of a new Ukrainian army under the Russian aggression.
