 Court leaves Euromaidan activists’ kidnapper Volkov in pretrial custody for another two months. PHOTOS

The Pechersk district court of Kyiv ruled to extend for two months the pretrial detention on Oleksandr Volkov who was indicted with charges of abduction of Ihor Lutsenko (the now Batkivshchyna Party faction MP) and activist Yurii Verbytskyi back in 2014.

The relevant ruling was read out by Judge Oleksii Sokolov.

As reported, in January 2014, during Euromaidan events, activists Ihor Lutsenko and Yurii Verbytskyi were abducted by unknown people from the territory of the Oleksandrivska Hospital and taken out of the city. After being tortured, they were abandoned in a forest. Verbytskyi died of his injuries.
