The Brigade spent last year carrying out missions in such hot spots of the ATO zone as Avdiivka's industrial zone, Butivka mine, and the village of Verkhniotoretske.
Brigade Commander, Colonel Andrii Sokolov, said his soldiers are considered to be the most proficient not only in the Ukrainian Army, but, possibly, the world's best fighters. They proved to be capable of performing tasks under extremely tough combat conditions they had encountered not only in Avdiivka but also Volnovakha, Izvaryne, Chervonopartyzansk, Donetsk airport, and near Mariupol.
According to the brigade commander, many soldiers were decorated with medals while several servicemen were awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, namely Lieutenant Vasyl Tarasiuk, and Major Andrii Kyzylo (posthumously).
