Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Kyiv city Prosecutor's Office.
The official reportedly extorted $7,000 in bribe. In exchange he promised a businessman to approve persons designated for airlines executive positions and assist in the company's further certification.
"The directorate chief was detained red-handed just as he received the second part of the agreed bribe in the amount of $3,000. Previously, the investigators had recorded another instance of the criminal offense committed by this person, namely the receipt of $ 1,000 in bribe," the statement reads.
The search and seizure operation is being carried out at the detainee's place of residence.
