"I was surprised to find out that visas to Saudi Arabia are the most expensive for Ukrainians and, accordingly, visas to Ukraine are the most expensive for Saudis," the president told journalists following the official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Censor.NET reports citing Poroshenko's press office.
He said that during the meeting with the King of Saudi Arabia, agreements were reached on reducing visa fees and moving towards facilitation of the people-to-people contacts, cooperation at the level of business and entrepreneurs, as well as intensification of tourist trips.
The president says it will also contribute to religious exchanges. Poroshenko noted that there are about 2 million Muslims living in Ukraine and they would have an opportunity of pilgrimage - Hajj to Saudi Arabia. "We have agreed to make the procedure of Hajj easier," he said.
