The anti-terrorist operation (ATO) troops continue suffering loses as Russian-backed militants attack their positions along the demarcation line in violation of the cease-fire deal.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the press service of the ATO headquarters.

In Luhansk direction, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian troops' strongholds near Kriakivka with 120 mm mortars and employed a grenade launcher against defenders of Krymske village in the daytime.

The most intense attacks were recorded in Donetsk direction today. The militants fired upon the strong points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the vicinity of Opytne with a large-caliber machine gun and small arms in the morning. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and one serviceman received injury in this attack. Another member of the ATO troops was injured in a grenade-launcher shelling near Kamianka. Defenders of Pisky and Avdiivka came under attack of the Russian-occupation forces at about 4 p.m.

In Prymorske direction, the invaders shelled positions in the vicinity of Shyrokyne with anti-tank grenade launchers. Defenders of Starohnativka and Vodiane were fired upon with small arms.

The illegal armed groups have violated the cease-fire 10 times totally since midnight. The ATO forces suppressed the enemy attacks by retaliation fire in half of the cases. "One Ukrainian military was killed, two more were injured in action today," the casualty report reads.
