 One fighter wounded in combat yesterday, 12 attacks upon Ukrainian positions reported, - ATO HQ

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area remained unchanged over the past 24h period. The enemy continued shelling the positions of the Ukrainian army in all directions, using mostly infantry weapons.

This was announced by the ATO HQ press center on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

In the end of the day in Donetsk direction, Ukraine's strongholds in Avdiivka and Butivka mine area came under grenade launcher, machine gun, and small arms fire of the enemy. In Kamianka area, Ukrainian positions came under anti-tank grenade launcher and IFV weapon fire.

In Prymorske direction, militants employed large caliber machine guns in Shyrokyne and Starohnativka, and a grenade launcher in Vodiane area.

In Luhansk direction in the evening, pro-Russian mercenaries shelled ATO forces from 82 mm mortars, automated and anti-tank grenade launchers in Krymske area.

A total of 12 attacks were reported yesterday, Oct. 22, by pro-Russian forces in the Donbas. Ukrainian military retaliated eight times. One Ukrainian fighter was wounded in combat, the ATO HQ said.

On Oct. 21, Russian mercenaries violated the cease-fire in the Donbas 14 times.
