Censor.NET Chief Editor Yurii Butusov wrote on Facebook.
"20-year-old Olena Zaitseva exceeded speed limit in Kharkiv three hours ago, in the city downtown. A crash followed, she lost control, and the car ended up on the sidewalk with many people... She killed six [five - ed.] persons on spot, five more are in emergency room, doctors are fighting for their lives," Butusov wrote late night Oct. 18.
"Olena Zaitseva has three records of traffic rules violations since she received her driver's licence, i.e. in less than three years," Butusov said.
The Lexus that got into the deadly accident belongs to Vasyl Zaitsev.
"Olena Zaitseva is a stepdaughter of Kharkiv businessman Vasyl Zaitsev, president of Hrupa Taifun company," NewsRoom reported.
"I hope this case causes such a stir that she will end up in prison for a long time, and will never be allowed to drive. Zaitseva has been detained for three days, a Censor.NET source said," the journalist summed up.
As reported, at around 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 18, a Lexus crashed into a pedestrian crowd in Kharkiv, killing five and wounding six people. The driver, a 20-year-old woman, has been detained.
