On Oct. 4, personnel of the Starokostiantyniv garrison and residents of the town bid their last goodbyes to pilots who were killed in the crash of L-39 aircraft, Lieutenant Colonel Serhii Borodachenko and Senior Lieutenant Mykhailo Tkachenko.

Censor.NET reports citing the press center of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The ceremony took place in the 42nd garrison officers' house. Two military cargo aircraft will take the bodies of the pilots to their home cities, the report says.

On Sept. 29, connection with L-39 aircraft was lost at 12:21 p.m. during its training flight above Starokostiantyniv. The jet crashed, killing two pilots.
