Since early hours of Oct. 3, the illegal armed gangs have attacked Ukrainian positions in the Donbas two times, wounding two fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Spokesperson of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) HQ press office Anatolii Stelmakh told 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
"Since the beginning of the day, two attacks upon our positions have been recorded. It's Avdiivka industrial area. Here, the enemy employed large-caliber machine guns and small arms. At around 1 a.m. the enemy opened grenade launcher fire in Hnutove area. Our military retaliated using grenade launchers. In the skirmish, two our military have been wounded since the beginning of the day," Stelmakh said.
He said information of civilian casualties in yesterday's shelling of residential areas is being verified.
"Preliminary, no civilian casualties were reported," the spokesperson said. He added that the wounded military have been taken to hospitals for treatment.
