This was announced by the ATO HQ press center on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"The past 24-hour period ended with an increase in the number of attacks upon Ukrainian positions by Russian troops in Donetsk direction. In the evening, pro-Russian mercenaries sprayed southeastern suburbs of Avdiivka from grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms for more than three hours. The adversary employed IFV weapon to shell our defenses in Zaitseve. More to that, defenders of Maiorsk and Nevelske came under fire of the enemy at night," the report reads.
In Luhansk direction, the occupants employed grenade launchers and small arms in Donets village area at around 6 p.m. In Krymske area, an 82-mm mortar was firing yesterday.
In Prymorske direction, the cease-fire was in place after 6 p.m.
A total of 17 attacks by Russian hybrid troops were recorded over the past 24-hour period. Given the threat to their lives, ATO fighters retaliated 12 times. No casualties among Ukrainian military were recorded yesterday, the report said.
On Oct. 1, Russian mercenaries attacked Ukraine's Army position 14 times.
