He wrote on Facebook that fire is seen and explosions heard in the vicinity of the major ammunition depot in Kalynivka, 20 km from Vinnytsia, Censor.NET reports.
A Censor.NET source said the explosions were heard in the city and ammunition was seen flying over the depot. The Kalynivka depot is more than 1,000 ha and packed with ammunition of various types.
"The tragedy of Balakliia and Svatove are being repeated," Butusov wrote.
"This was our second most important ammunition depot after Balakliia. This means we can predict when and where the next explosion will occur. The program of dissemination of ammunition systemically fails.
"The enemy continues its regular hits upon the military infrastructure of Ukraine.
"This catastrophe leaves us without huge volume of ammunition," Butusov wrote.
"This is a heavy blow on Ukraine's defense capability, and it requires extraordinary measures and solutions."
Butusov said that many undesirable people who were not even involved had been fired after the fire in Svatove.
"No one was dismissed after the fire in Balakliia, where the fault of the General Staff command was obvious. Today [Sept. 26 - ed.], the fourth depot exploded in two years, a strategic one," Butusov said.
