The Hungarian government has decided to block all subsequent decisions by the European Union aimed at its association with Ukraine.

This was announced by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó on Tuesday, Censor.NET reports citing Europeiska Pravda.

The decision came as a response of Budapest to President Poroshenko's signing of the Education Act of Ukraine.

"We can guarantee that this will hurt Ukraine's future," the head of Hungarian Foreign Ministry said.

He said Poroshenko made a "shameful" decision. The Ministry is citing its chief as saying that Poroshenko had been declaring Ukraine's striving to become closer to Europe, but the decision to sign the Act is "far from Europe, as it's a huge step in the opposite direction," Szijjártó said.

The FM statement says Ukraine "should forget of European integration" and that Hungary will block all initiatives that Ukraine benefits from in international organizations, especially the EU.
