A Ka-27 helicopter incidentally fired air-to-ground missiles on attendees of Russia-Belarus exercise, Zapad-2017.

The incident occurred at Luzhsky shooting range in St. Petersburg area. The date of the incident was not reported, Censor.NET is citing Russian Dozhd TV channel.

According to the press service of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation, exercises using helicopters were scheduled for Sept. 17.

"Within the framework of the joint strategic exercise Zapad-2017 at Luzhsky training ground, the crews of Mi-28N and Ka-52 attack helicopters fulfilled the tasks of aerial reconnaissance, missile strike on ground targets, and covering the ground grouping of troops from the air. "
