This was announced by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov, Censor.NET reports citing the NSDC press service.
The NSDC has set the volume of financing for the defense and security sector of the country at 163,268,000,000 hryvnia ($6.28 billion) for 2018, Turchynov said.
Among the most important issues of the security and defense sector financing is "the increase in collateral payments to military."
Other priority financing issues are construction of new types of weapons and military hardware, including state-of-the-art missile and artillery weapons, armored tanks, ammunition, and more, the NSDC secretary said.
Special attention will be paid to intense combat training of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military detachments, as well as strengthening of Ukraine's border.
Cyber security, terrorism fighting, intelligence, counterintelligence are also among priorities for development in the state policy sector, Turchynov said.
