At today's government meeting, Vice Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv said that the system of electronic procurement Prozorro has proven its efficiency and transparency, Censor.NET reports.
He said 1,230 successful auctions have been held. The state earned 2.7 billion hryvnia ($104.6 million).
"The successful experience of the system can and must be transferred to the public sales sector. The principles of auctions remain transparent and reliable, which creates fair and equal competition in procurement. Today we are implementing a pilot project titled ProZorro Sales, which should establish transparent rules for state-owned enterprises that are willing to sell their own property," he said.
Kubiv said electronic auctions are good for the state as they guarantee equal access of participants to trading and higher competition, together with the highest income from sales.
