 Cabinet to introduce state budget bill 2018 by Sept. 15, - PM Hroisman

The government is about to finish working on the state budget bill 2018 and intends to introduce it into the Verkhovna Rada on time, by Sept. 15.

This was announced by Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman. Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"On Sept. 15, as stipulated by the Budget Code, we will introduce [the budget bill - ed.] to the parliament of the country. We are about to finish working on it," Hroisman said.

Prime minister said the bill will have clear priorities. The Cabinet intends to allocate extra 10 billion hryvnia for healthcare, 5 percent of the GDP will be spent on Ukrainian defense. The bill will keep financial decentralization in place and support real economy with programs for Ukrainian industry and farming.

"We will have clear priorities, there will be three more this year than last year," the head of the government said.

Hroisman stressed that the top priority for the next year will be financing of road construction and repair.
