 Lithuania will never recognize Russian aggression, - Pranckietis to visit administrative border with occupied Crimea

Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis will visit the administrative border with the occupied Crimea on Sept. 1 to "confirm the stance of the civilized world," which will never recognize the occupation of the peninsula.

Pranckietis told a briefing in Kyiv after meeting his counterpart, Ukrainian Rada Speaker Andrii Parubii, Censor.NET reports citing LIGA.net.

He said that tomorrow he will travel to the demarcation line with Crimea to show that Lithuania does not and never will recognize the aggressive activities by Russia. Pranckietis recalled that his country was very grateful to the U.S. for not recognizing Lithuania occupation by the USSR. So he said Lithuania was willing to do the same for Ukraine.

On Aug. 18, 2017, Lithuania proposed the European Union to allocate 5 billion euro annually for Ukraine's reintegration.
