Poroshenko: Army, National Guard and security forces are main guarantors of Ukraine's independence

The independence of Ukraine is safeguarded by the army and other military and security forces.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during the celebration on the occasion of the Day of the National Flag on Wednesday in Kyiv.

"We tend to learn history and learn from the mistakes of our ancestors. The assertion of independence is the responsibility of our generation ... The fate of the state depends on each of us, but the main guarantors are the Armed Forces, the National Guard and other security agencies that protect the country from Russian aggression," he said.
