Mercenaries of the Russian troops in the Donbas, speaking with a Caucasian accent, were making armed threats to four OSCE monitors in the Luhansk region.

Censor.NET reports citing ZN.ua.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 9:45 a.m. Four OSCE SMM monitors were conducting walking patrol of the area near a destroyed pedestrian bridge to the south of Stanytsia Luhanska, close to positions of pro-Russian separatists of the so-called "Luhansk people's republic."

As the OSCE employees were monitoring civilians crossing the wooden boardwalk, an unarmed person wearing camo uniform approached them and started talking to them. OSCE mission members were not able to understand him as he was speaking Russian with thick Caucasian accent. The mercenary left and in two minutes returned with a Kalashnikov rifle and two men wearing camo uniform. The attacker removed a fuse and aimed the rifle at OSCE monitors who were standing some three meters from them.

"All of you are spies. You must not approach our positions. You must not be here at all. Go away. I count to three, and if you don't leave, I will shoot," he said.
