As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine, this was announced by Social Policy Minister Andrii Reva during briefing on Wednesday.
"There must be some coordination between what the person pays and what he or she gets. You must agree that every person has different level of participation in the pension system. There is some minimum level; if you're under it - you don't receive a pension. If you don't have 15 years of insurance record, you don't get pension payments," Reva said.
The minister noted that this fact - some people do not receive pension payments at all - is very poorly discussed in the society.
"Few people speak of it and few know of it. We have almost 20,000 people in Ukraine who do not receive pension payments while being retired. They get no pension payments, they receive special aid as persons who are not entitled to receive pensions," Reva said.
As reported, the Cabinet approved the bill on pension reform in Ukraine.
